Palm Beach International Airport Environmental Impact Statement

Welcome to the Website for the Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) Environmental Impact Statement.

In accordance with FAA Order 5050.4B and the National Environmental Policy Act  of 1969 (NEPA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for a project proposed by the Palm Beach County Department of Airports (PBC DOA) at PBI.

In order to accommodate an increasing demand for air transportation service, PBC DOA has proposed an Airfield Improvement Project (AIP) at PBI that would maintain a high level of passenger convenience for the traveling public by increasing the hourly capacity of the runway system at PBI.

Please take a moment to review this website in order to learn the latest information about the EIS study, including a description of the proposed airport improvements, an overview of the EIS process, and the dates of public meetings about the project.
