Project Status

The FAA is considering public and agency comments received on the Final EIS and is preparing the agency's Record of Decision (ROD).

The ROD is expected to be issued in late 2011. Notification of the FAA's issuance of the ROD will be provided in the Federal Register and in local newspaper advertisements.

Copies of the ROD, when issued, will be made available locally. The ROD will also be available for viewing and download from this web site.

Public Involvement

For the PBIA EIS, the FAA implemented a Public Involvement Program that allowed everyone who wanted to participate in the study. It is important to understand that every EIS is different, and that the FAA develops its public involvement programs for each EIS based on the needs of the individual communities. It was the FAA’s intention to develop this program and revise it as needed to meet the needs of the Palm Beach community and to keep those who were interested fully informed during the EIS process.
